  • Classic Cat - the free classical music directory A directory of free classical music made available by the performers, sorted by composer and work. With biographical links for the composers.
  • Classical Midi Page This page contains an extensive archive of classical music midi files for your listening pleasure.
  • Classical Music on the Web The purpose of this site is to provide an organized jump station to the best music resources on the Internet. Classical Music is featured, and many of the linked pages lead also to other styles of music. Fans of all kinds of music can explore below and find great links. Included are some sites dedicated to high fidelity music and video reproduction, and film.

  • International Association of Music Information Centres International Association of Music Information Centres is a world-wide network of organizations promoting new music with forty members in thirty-six countries. Music Information Centres are open to the public and have extensive resources to offer. In addition to large libraries of sheet music and sound archives, some centres maintain up-to-date collections of biographical and research material, many issue publications and recordings, and all serve as a focus of musical activity.

  • Boston Society of Music An organization dedicated to the promotion and appreciation of vocal and instrumental music in the Boston area. Their emphasis is on classical and operatic styles.
  • Classical Artists Worldwide "Classical Artists Worldwide is a unique promotion service for professional musicians. Each page on the site contains details of performers and ensembles, presented with pictures, sound, graphics and text of their choice."
  • Italian music school in Florence Florence International Music Summer Campus. Classical and jazz music summer courses in the Florence Music School "Il Trillo", with musicians and teachers of international fame.
  • MusicStaff.com is a free service which enables parents, students and musicians to find music teachers, music schools and music lessons anywhere in the United States.
  • Musicians Gallery "Profiles of professional musicians and services throughout the world. Musicians Gallery is primarily a place where concert promoters, impresarios, orchestras, music societies, etc. can come to find musicians or music related services."
  • Printed Music Worldwide This organization provides web site space for music publishers, distributors, engravers, retailers, and composers. Their clients are listed in an index that includes publisher catalogs and sound clips of available works.

  • American Composers' Forum Based in Minnesota, this is an organization for the promotion and performance of new music,as well as audience education. Their site provides information on commissions, performances, and recordings.
  • American Music Center The American Music Center is an information and support service for contemporary classical music and jazz. Information on networks, grant writing, workshops, etc.
  • Center for the Promotion of Contemporary Composers The Internet's largest informational resource for composers and performers of contemporary art music. Information on concerts, competitions and employment, plus catalogue & search of members works.
  • Classical Composers Database Birth days, Death dates, anniversaries. Links to sheet music searches and MP3 searches.
  • Conductor's Guild "Dedicated to encouraging and promoting the highest standards in the art and profession of conducting." This site contains the Guild newsletter, information on seminars and conferences, plus lists of conducting texts and links.
  • Music Composition Resource Sources essential for today's composers, including books, articles, internet sites, sound recordings and FAQs for beginning composers.
  • MuttMusic This site is presented by a consortium of Boston composers and contains information on. performances , sound files,and links to new music sites.
  • The Society of Composers & Lyricists The Society of Composers & Lyricists is an organization committed to advancing the interests of the film and television music community. A quarterly newsletter and information on conferences, concerts, etc.

  • ChoralNet A resource aimed at choral directors, it contains a music database, information about conferences, performances, and educational programs as well a links to publishers of choral music.
  • Classical Singer Community This site has a worldwide singer directory, a web magazine, and information about auditions and competitions.
  • Musica An international database of choral repertoire.
  • SongFile Lyrics database, lists of sheet music, instrument, & other music resources.

Instrumentalists

  • Boston Classical Guitar Society The Boston Classical Guitar Society offers guitar concerts, performance opportunities, and master classes for classical guitarists, plus a newsletter and lists of teachers and other resources.
  • The Brass Resources Page Links to information on everything from instrument making to publications.
  • Chamber Music America This organization for chamber music performers and ensembles provides support for groups, education, and promotion of chamber music.   • Guitar Foundation of America Information about performers, luthiers, publications, recordings, events, etc.
  • International Clarinet Association Competitions, festivals, newsletter, research center, etc.
  • National Flute Association Competition information, conventions, master classes, music reviews, and a performers' exchange.
  • Orphee Editions This guitar site is maintained by Matanya Orphee, a prominent guitarist and historian-musicologist. He runs a guitar music publishing company whose music is distributed by Theodore Presser. In addition to an online catalog and magazine, this site also has a list of music dealers and links to guitar resources.
  • The String Pedagogy Notebook "A Resource for Teachers and Performers." Articles on string technique, teaching, instrument care, maintenance, books & music for students.

  • BMI, although BMI is primarily a music licencing agency, their site contains a database of song titles as well as useful information for composers.
  • National Music Publisher's Association This site contains extensive information on copyright, licensing, and royalties, as well as a search engine for songs licensed by the organization.
